Default Post your adj. control arm length

I'm just curious what lengths everybody is running, esp. in the front uppers and lowers. I have the specs that came w/ the Tereflex arms and their recommendations have the uppers and lowers longer than stock.

I thought most people were shortening the uppers and lengthening the lowers?

What lengths did you use and where did your axle center line end up in the wheelwell?

They also recommend that one of the lowers should be 1/8" longer to correct a tendancey to pull to one side (I cant remember which arm or which side it pulls to). Has anybody found this necessary?

Disclaimer:
I'm not doubting Teraflex's expertise, just wanted to hear a little confirmation just to be sure there were no typo's or mistakes on the spec sheets.

Default Control Arm Length

I have the 3 inch lift and adjusted to Teraflex's recommendation. The rear springs were bowing back and the passenger spring was rubbing the track bar. So, I shortened the lowers by about 1/2 inch and adjusted the uppers until my driveshaft was perfectly straight.

The front end was a bit long, and the trackbar contacted the top of the diff at full compression. So, I shortened the uppers two turns (that was as far as they would adjust.) I also shortened the lowers 4 turns. Rudimentery measurements show the caster angle is about 6 degrees.

Just to note I have Warn bumpers with winch and tire carrier, so my 4-door may sag more than most. Track bars are from Rusty's.

Everything looks good, but I only have one mile on this setup!

Default Yes would like to see #'s here

My set up has been working ok(just adj lowers)but adding adj upper arms and new driveshafts shortly would love to see upper and lower measurements of 4inch install on 2 door that are working well(with after market cvf/cvo style driveshafts)(my springs were advertised as 3"but lifted 2dr rubi about 4 1/2")

I have a 2DOOR JK RUBICON with 4" bds lift. (4.5box) the settings according to "Glenn" the engineer @bds are:

front lower 23.17
rear upper 18 3/8 (although directions give 18 1/8?? I ran 3/8 up to you to adjust for your driveshaft.

rear lower 20 1/2

front uppers are stock.

This is a good idea! Might help me solve my drift/pull to the left after my 3" lift. I have a full set of adj control arms by Superlift. When I can I'll post my current measurements.

sounds good let me know how it runs. How does yours ride vs. stock? bumpy on road or smooth like original? BdS sent me defective front adjustables they WOULD NOT ADJUST! anyways they are having a set overnighted so tomarrow Ill put them on and we going to test drive it finally.

Front lower 23 1/4"
front upper 18 3/4"
rear lower 19 11/16"
rear upper 17 1/2"

Rides like stock. Even my wife had to admit it. No vibes, minimal bump steer, no wobble. My only problem is this drift I'm experiencing to the left. Some say its the tires, others say it a bent c axel and some say that I have to lengthen the front driver LCA or shorten the front passenger LCA. Hopefully the problem will be resolved on saturday.
