Default Pro Comp wheel advice

I've got a new pair of pro comp 7089 17x8 w/ 4.5" bs with new set of 285/70/r17 Nitto terra graps. I tried to have them mounted on my stock JKU but the tire tech said he couldn't get the wheel flush with the rotor even though all the holes line up perfectly. I'm wondering if anyone else has had a problem. I hear the pro comps are touchy and require patience when mounting so I wonder if the tech just when crazy with the air ratchet (not recommended for splined lugs) and failed to line up the wheel properly or is it just the tire is too wide and making contact somewhere. I'd be outside looking into the problem if it wasn't raining. If it is a contact issue what size spacer is recommended and what brand is preferred?

Pull the wheel and make sure there is no burr in the center hole of the wheel preventing it from sitting flat on the rotor. Sometime you have to clean the center hole out in the wheel with a file or some sand paper.

Did the tech remove the factory retaining clips off the studs first??

When I had my wheels installed, they mentioned they needed to leave the clips off. Mine are 16 X 8 with 4.5" backspacing. 17 X 8 should fit fine.

OH.... I owe you a beer. Pulled the wheels and didn't see any evidence that the Tech pulled the retainer clips. In fact it looked as if he tried to torque the new wheel down because several had been mashed. I removed them all and mounted my new wheels and tires. No rub, flush and looking good, I set out to go fill my tires with air. Apparently the tech only filled half my tires with air. I guess he thought 15 psi was enough to drive. Long story short you made my Sunday especially since my team was knocked two weeks ago. Thanks
