Pro Comp XTREME A/T vs Terra Grappler

As the thread title indicates.....which of the above two, Nitto Terra Grappler and Pro Comp Xtreme All-Terrain....would you choose if choosing a A/T tire.

I haven't decided between mud and A/T but, want to focus my choices on an A/T.....

I Have the ProComp Xtreme A/T and I really like them.I have not problems here in Florida with the Sugar Sand and they are OK in the mud (Not Great)
They are a great driving tire and not to load.Mine have about 5000 miles on them and they are still quiet (compared to my ProComp Mud terrains which always made a humming noise) Its all about how you are going to use them.

Good Luck :yup:

X2...I've got 19K on mine and they are great for a daily driver that I wheel on the weekends...

As for off road they are good, but, in the mud they are OK...

Got the Nittos on mine. Now I live in MD so we gotta deal with snow and ice and these are the best tire I have ever driven on either. They are great in rain and on sand and rocks....only OK in mud....not bad, but if you like allot of mud this isn't the tire for you. If you drive allot and like the sand and rain and rocks, they are great.

I agree, when I was going to purchase my tires,I looked @ both of them.
I had the ProComp on my Ford F250 4 Dr Diesel and I loved them.I went
thru 4 sets of tires when I owned my truck and I got the best mileage from
the ProComps. I guess you stick with a product that has performed
well for you in the past.

I like the Pro Comps a lot and they are on my consideration list, but have no experience with either.

I have the Nittos and love them. Great on the street, does well in sand and did pretty good in mud.

Tough decision, both are great looking and great performing A/T tires.

I have the procomp extreme AT's on my F250, they are smooth and quite on the road...

plus a 40,000 mile warranty

I have a friend that runs the procomp AT and I think they suck. Im not sure of the terrain in florida but in the rocks in CA they suck. Just my 2cents:brows:

theres a difference between the Procomp At and the Procomp xtreme MT..

I put on the 35" Procomps last week. I will go 4wheeling this weekend, so I only have on road experience with them as of yet. So far, i think they are a great tire - very quiet on road and decent traction on wet pavement. Plus they look more like a M/T than most other A/Ts (especially compared to Procomp's normal A/T and the BFG A/T).

One factor in your decision should be if you are ok with a directional tire. I'm not sure about the Nittos, but the Procomps are directional. This is a hassle because you can only rotate front to back, not side to side, and you can't work the fifth tire into the rotation. Also, if you bust a tire, you only have a 50% chance that your spare will face the correct direction....

I have the Pro comp at and I love them. They look aggressive and drive on pavement great. I don't do a lot of off roading as of yet but they look to be able to handle it well. By the way, I have 285/75r16 and they are not directional. The next size up are. So depending on the size may or may not be an issue.
