This X, 2.5" lift, inverted his sway bar... Of course he was running stock links.

Here's Eddie's comments directly:
'Do I think I need to add anything to make this kit better? Sure, at the very least, a longer set of sway bar links (or disconnects up front if you don’t have a Rubicon) would be nice but aren’t necessary.'

If you don't believe me, believe Eddie.
Thanks for the link sethmark

We're not talking about wheelin' and flexing... we're talking about driving to work. For off road usage, all bets are off. But for driving it, which is what the OP ASKED for, the answer is it works fine.

Here's the REALITY of the rear with the factory links at ride height:

FULL DROOP with the rear tires off the ground. 08 X Unlim. Tera 2.5BB with their shocks. Could it invert? Not without some exterior factor. Its about as close as I'd want it to be, but it ain't gonna flip without something acting against that joint.

i am running the tf bb. the new links that came with mine were the same lenghth as the stock ones. i left the stock rear pieces in place and put the new ones in the front and then changed the front ones to the quick disconnects with the studs that hold them up when disconnected. measure the ones you have, i bet they are the same way mine were. mine measured 8.5 inches bolt hole center to center. i have had it off road twice with max flex and have had no issues and have put near 3000 highway miles on it since the lift.

I thought you had to run spacers if you were going to run stock tires on the Teraflex lift.

Lol you don't see a problem with the links in that photo??

Like I said, good luck with the stock links on a lifted Jeep.

There's not a problem for driving on road, no.

EDIT:
Don't confuse what I'm saying... the OP needs to drive the car to work, not over the Hammers. This is a work around that works. Its not for maximum articulation, its for getting the job done RIGHT NOW, safely.

I GUARANTEE that with enough tire, enough trail and enough stupidity, I can tear the links to shreds, but that's not the point. The point is to get it driving now.

Move the links to the inside mounting position to avoid any rubbing.

WOW the original poster MUST be confused out of his mind by all the responses!

I agree that moving the rear sway-bar links inside is the best fix.

Technically you CAN drive the jeep with the shorter sway-bar links, but it will not work properly on the highway because it will not be parallel to the ground. (angled down because they are shorter)
Obviously it won't matter off-road if you dis-connect, but again, I agreed that moving the rear links to the inside is the best fix.

I suggest wheel spacers though in the short term if you cannot afford wheels when you upgrade tires. I ran stock 17's with 1.5 spacers with 35x12.5 tires for 2 years with 0 issues.

Hope that helps...

To "ME", the simplest solution is to just follow the Teraflex instructions with the kit. It says in black and white to run wheel spacers if you run stock wheels. PERIOD. If you DON'T, then you're in your own grey area. Pretty simple, really.
