Ive taken my Jeep to Moab wearing Procomp Xterrains and never had 1 problem. I never had to air down and never failed to climb or negotiate anything I attempted. I have 11,000 miles on them and they are wearing very well. I am anticipating 40k before I get another set. I also have had them in ice and snow as well as mud and heavy rain downpours and never noticed any hydroplaning and have never been stuck. The design works very well to keep them from balling up in the snow and in mud. They are directional so I just rotate the three on the right side of the Jeep with themselves and the other two by themselves. One of these days I may have the spare flipped on the rim so I can rotate it in with the other two.
Hope that helps...

I would caution anyone purchasing pro-comp tires.
I had a set of 33x12.50R15 Proc Comp MTs on my old 1999 XJ and I was stranded in the bush by them. Brand new, not even 2,000km on them and it blew a sidewall wheeling. I was not abusing the tire in any way and many other Jeeps with other tires had taken the same line just ahead with no issues. Pro-Comp offered no warranty coverage on the tire whatsoever. I was extremely dissapointed in the sidewall of the tire and in the "customer service" of Pro-Comp as a company.

I agree that Pro Comps have weak sidewalls. The Xterrains I had were a decent tire and they wore well on the highway but if you plan on airing down in the rocks, you might want to look elsewhere.

Default TPMS Sensors

Only to clarify:

Is there any issue running new wheels and tires without tpms sensors?
Is there any buzzing noise or lights?
What is the best way to solve the problem?

Thank you mates.

Brian- Thanks man

Mbernardo- there is no real "problem" with not having TPMS in the tires, there is a light and a startup dingger that tells you your tires are flat and thats it. I just park beside my stock tires at night and my jeep recognizes the tires and says everything is OK.

For those who have problems with Procomp side walls...... I think you just happen to have a bit of bad luck. I think there is a horror story about every off road tire out there about slashing or blowing out a side wall, and I have not heard of anyone getting warranty for an offroad tire when something like this happens.... Now saying that I am sure there is someone who actually got a sucessful warranty claim but I am sure it is far and in between.
I have alot of off-road miles on two diffrent sets of Xterrains and I have never even broke a bead.

theres absolutely nothing wrong with the procomp side walls, you must have got a bad batch.

I ran 35's for 40,000 miles on road and off, without issues.

I stepped up to 37" xtreme MT's on currently, I like them so much.

4wdhardwares comp rig ran one set of 35" Xtreme MT's for two seasons without blowing a sidewall. Now, the first comp we ran them, we blew out three tires. It must have been bad luck. After that we have not had any problems.
