Default Prodigy Turbo Install/Review 2017! 3.6L JKU

What is up fellas... So after going through all the crazy amounts of info on different forced induction options for the JK, I decided to pull the trigger on the Stage 2 Prodigy kit.... This thread will kinda be a progression... I received my kit about 1 week after I purchased (which was bad ass! Not to mention they through in a free T-shirt!)... Came in two large boxes one housed the Turbo and the other housed Every nut and bolt. I un boxed everything and snapped a picture... Turbo is seriously slick looking... the welds on the kit are top notch! I plan on getting this thing installed very very soon! Stay Tuned!

I installed this same kit a couple months ago. After working out a few bugs with tuning and stuff, it is a night and day difference in power. It's a lot of fun.

Sorry for the delay! Been crazy busy... So my take on this kit:

Be ready for an install... not a simple bolt on, but I have to say (now have been driving it for a few weeks) that the end result is worth it.... First was the "Easy part"... which is basically tapping the pan/removing the intake for the injectors and feed etc etc... this is all very straight forward and the videos helped a ton (so watch them before you do the install) I did replace the intake gaskets (both upper and lower)...as I did not want these to become an issue later on
... Now comes the fun part.... The hot parts...this took three of us (please keep in mind this was done in my garage with NO lift).... The initial consensus was they sent me the wrong kit... It DID NOT seem like it was going to fit... Few key pointers that will make this process go a little smoother...if you don't have a lift you HAVE to have the suspension fully unloaded (so you need to have the jeep on jack stands)..we fought with the kit for a dang hour before we realized this (you won't get any of the pipes into place)...next they say to start all the flanges...this is MUCH easier said than done... I would recommend starting at the waste gate...get the V-band flanges on then move onto tightening up the turbo...then down pipe..then ball joints and collectors etc etc... I can promise you that it will seem like it does not fit..or you were sent a pipe for a 3.8L or something...but eventually it does fit...

Again...this is not for the Average joe blow unless this is not your daily driver or you have a professional do the instal (yes there are exceptions to this)... If you are handy in the garage you better plan on 3 days start to completion.... now after you do it once... you could probably get it done in 1-2...but DON'T PLAN ON THAT your first time...trust me...

As far as quality..everything is top notch... A few griefs (other than fitment) are the bypass coolant hose is SUPERRRRR close to the down pipe... I have not had an issue...but I wish they just changed this up and moved it further away... 02 sensor placements is very important (they are different for each side so pay attention to the colors)...

A few screw ups on my end... I didn't plug the oil temperature sensor back in (DUMMMB)... so this kicked a CEL...had to remove the intake to fix this...

The power steering hose replacement is a bit of a PITA in that the fittings do not swivel so start with the pump...

A few updates on driving... I am on 35's and 3.73's... and the bottom end is very sluggish (the best way to describe driving a turbo jeep is there is a light switch at 3 grand...this comes on and you are now driving a performance car, it's weird and will surprise the crap out of anyone ridding in it and the waste gate and BOV sounds are awesome!)... So I am going to re gear just to keep me from jumping into overdrive and spooling up the turbo every time I need to pass someone (as fun as it is!!)

This is it for now... Will give more feedback to keep this thread alive...

Thanks and let me know if you have any questions.

Final Product! This was after I purchased the Engine cover (Which is BA!!)... I did this as I just put the jeep in a big show here locally so I wanted this on:
