Default Proper headlight adjusted height.

I ordered some truck lite led lights, and I was wondering what is the correct height to used when aiming them on a lifted vehicle? I know people say the 3' or 2" less than the height on the vehicle over 25' but I know I've seen a diagram somewhere that a member made to account for the correct angle on a lifted vehicle?

Thanks for that link it is a great write up. But wouldn't that method only work for a stock height vehicle? Or did I miss something ?

I think it's based on the vehicles ahead of you, not your vehicle. So the 3 feet at 25 feet works every time.

I used that guide then cranked them down a little further so we didn't blind oncoming motorist. The beam pattern of the lights still allows us to see far enough the road for us to be comfortable driving at night.

That makes sense I never adjusted my headlights after I put a lift in, but I figured I'd do it with the new lights

You will more than likely NEED to. My stocks were aimed right and after putting my trucklites in it was way high.

I have been running truck lites for over a year and about 22000 miles and huge improvement. I have a 2" lift and 34" tires and I adjusted them like stock and I have never had an on coming car flash me when I am on low beams. I will say when an on coming car has their brights on I hit my brights and they dim instantly. Best improvement I have made to any vehicle because for me it is a safety issue as I drive at night a lot. Under the right conditions they do freeze over. I drive in the snow often and had not had troubles until the the other day it was snowing very wet heavy snow and the temp was under freezing and I got a thick layer of ice on them.
