You'll be fine with 4.10s and 35s

That's what I'm seeing. I love the power over the 3.8. Glad I got what I wanted in a Rubi! Can't wait to get the lift, tires and bumpers though...I got used to my 2011 all jacked up and got the fever already on this one.

Deciding on a lift and tire size. I liked the 3" lift with 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers and will prolly stick with that. Undecided if I go back to a BDS lift or not. Definitely got more power and torque. More ideas coming.

Did you get the 3" lift? I'm a newbie and just got a jku rubicon. I have 33's but want to go to 35's. I'm not into rock crawling or anything hardcore. Looking to mod into an expedition type rig. Does anyone on this thread have an opinion on what's the best lift and tire combo for an expedition rig? Enough to craw the rocks when needed, cross streams, mud, snow, sand...ect. I was thinking 35's with 3" lift but thinking that might be overkill.

Talk to Mark Doiron. That's pretty much all he does is expedition style stuff. And he goes everywhere and knows his stuff.

I haven't lifted my JKUR yet...but I am thinking 2.5" or 3" lift with 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers again. Awesome tire. You can't go wrong with a 3" lift even for expedition styles. Only reason I'm thinking 2.5" lift is so I don't have to change my driveshafts.

That is where I'm leaning but that .5" makes a difference. I'm gonna look at prices on driveshafts and go from there. Gotta keep tabs with warranty also, so that will be a factor in my decision.

No rear ds but front if you want it to flex to the max. I have a 2014 jkur with 2.5" RK lift which is great and handles nice on and off road and flexes out well. I run 35 toyos and it has decent giddy up with 4.10's but not a race car by any means. It does great off road in 4lo crawling tho. At max droop I was hitting front drive shaft. I did the exhaust mod but that was not the answer as the exhaust now hung just below the skid cross member which I did not like. I ended up going back to stock exhaust and went with a new front drive shaft. If you are not flexing the driveshaft will be fine but hey why get a lift if not flexing. I went with the new Dana Spicer driveshaft and it is very nice smooth as silk and 1/2 hour bolt on. no fuss no muss.

Really depends on which lift you go with. If you go Synergy (great choice btw) then you will either want to do their 3" spring in front and 2" in rear and you still get about 3-4" of lift depending on the weight of the vehicle. RK and MC 2.5" will give you more like 3.5-4" depending on the weight. Etc etc. I think a 2.5" with 35s is going to be more then you anyways (remember the lowest part is going to be your axles anyways).
