I had these on my Jeep originally. They are strong, you will like them. As far as drilling goes, I think it is like two holes on each side of the Jeep. Not bad at all.

Make sure you read the instructions all the way through before doing any drilling. One guy didn't use the drilling guide because it was mentioned later in the instructions. The holes are drilled on an upward angle so they come out in the correct place inside the Jeep. Also, just make sure you have the sliders jacked up tight and in the right place before marking the holes. Like putnam dan says, it is a little bit of a challenge but worth the effort in the end.
