The contact area is the bottom lip of the flares, since the taller/wider tires are moved out far enough that they can no longer tuck up inside those stock flares. Makes sense, right?
As an example, this is 33x11.50's, 3.25" of actual lift height, 4.5 backspace rims. The tires were lightly rubbing in that pic -- going straight!! Turn the wheel, and that fender comes off...
You have options. Chop the flares, add taller bumpstops, add lift height, whatever. Just remember that all builds are different...

Used the search engine, couldn't find the info needed or on other forums... Please just link the thread if it was spoken about before
So I have the tera flex leveling kit, the kit thats just pucks... Heres my question
Can 35x12.5.x17 fit on my jiu now without any rubbing???? (I have rims with 10 offset and 4.89 BS, and a aftermarket front bumper). I have the brand new tires just sitting in my garage but was going to wait to buy the lift in summer time but i would like to mount the tires now. The jeep is going to be a pavement princess until i put the lift on in the summer so I am not worried about flexing. Just want to know if ill be good without rubbing and all that nonsense

Put it to you this way. I have a 3.5" lift and running 35x12.50x17 and I rubbed on my little plastic splash guard. took it off and I was good. I think your biggest problem will be your fenders. if you got flat fenders and maybe added spacers you should be fine. that being said, I'm not a total expert. hope this helps a little bit
