To get the door off, if it's stuck on, place a jack under the door with a block of wood to protect it. Jack the door up; have someone hold the door while you do it. Replace any defective bushings--be prepared for the outrageous price. I believe it you decide to replace all eight (four door?) you'll be out well in excess of $150. As of last year, the only suppliers were the dealerships, but you might check with Wyckoff parts (forum sponsor) for a significant cost savings. Use a light coating of lithium grease when you reinstall the doors. Don't bother to reinstall the Torx nuts.

sounds good, i thought about the jack idea but didn't want to break anything either, that's how bound up the passenger side is. I'm just going to order all new bushings and not put the screws back in. Thanks everyone for all your advice. If you have any more suggestions for where to get the bushings, let me know. 20 bucks each seems to be what i'm finding and I need 8 of them.

You might try PB Blaster as you penetrating lubricant, it seems pretty popular on the forum. It should be available at any auto parts store and is on my list of products to try.

Many of us don't even bother with those torx heads and just leave them off. The door stays put with gravity.

Yep,that's what I do. I see no reason to reinstall the torx heads. I leave them off. And as others have said, once you remove your doors and either grease the studs, or add better bushings, you will not struggle again.
