Default Radio upgrade with backup camera

Looking to upgrade stock radio in 2010 rubicon. We have the basic CD player/radio (RES). Has anyone had experience or success replacing the radio with a newer radio with backup camera, like the 730N? Thanks.

I've done it. There's a long thread on installing a backup camera for the 430N that has all the details. On phone, so can't find it. You have to buy the nav and few parts for $80, then install it and flash the nav to enable the camera.

It doesn't sound like too many have done it and the price of newer radios are more pricey than I expected. So it seems like the best option is to find a cheaper compatible radio with a screen and then get a backup camera that will work with that. An other option may be the visor overlays.

If you decide to go with a factory 430 navigation radio, do your homework on which models will work, and which won’t. You have to get the one with the same speed as tour CANBUS, as there is a high and low speed out there. Also be aware of a factory defect with some of the 430’s. There is a malfunction that will never allow the radio to go to sleep, so it will always draw powe, even with the key off. I was unfortunate enough to have it happen to me before I knew about the defect.
