Default Ramsey REP8000 winch question

Will this winch be big enough for a 4 door wrangler? Does anyone know anything about this winch? Or do I need to get a bigger winch.

Rule of thumb is take gross weight and multiply by 1.5

So essentially, 8K winch is minimum. Want it to last longer, work faster? Get a higher weight rating. U'd recommend at least 9k. Remember you may wheel with someone that weighs more. An older early 90s range rover with armor tips the scales at nearly 7,000lbs.

9000 min

I suggest you look at the recon 10500lb winch. I put mine on this week and love it.
