Rancho 2" JKU Sport Suspension On a 2DR ?

Has anyone done it? Will it work/fit w/o modification? https://www.quadratec.com/p/rancho/2...r-jk-unlimited

You'd just net more lift than it if was on a 4dr. Probably an extra inch. If you end up netting 3" on a 2dr, you're gonna need to address the same things you'd have to address as if you put a 3" dr lift on. shocks and springs isn't gonna cut it. You'd need adjustable track bar up front, rear track bar bracket at a minimum in back, proper bump stops, a form of caster correction, longer brake lines or brake line brackets.....at a minimum. At 3", you'd be getting close to drive shaft replacement too. it all depends on actual net lift achieved.....and hard to tell where you'd be.

You just can't lift jeeps properly for $500.

Pretty spot on.
I would address caster with Geo Brackets, but the axle shift is still minimal with this height.
It would be a tad under 3"
But you can level Jeeps and get a really nice ride for around $500, that is for sure.

Okay now I,m confused. Is there a kit with the RS9000 shocks w/springs for the 2DR? I emailed Rancho's technical tech today and received the below reply:
Hello,

I would not recommend using the four door kit (RS66119BR9) on your two door jk. I am showing the two door kit would have come with different springs than the four door kit.

I think they are just saying "we make a 2dr version....why buy that 4dr version when you can buy the proper 2dr version?" That's my take at least. Physically the 4dr version will fit, just going to have a stiffer spring rate as they are designed to hold up the additional weight of a 4dr, so you'd expect to get well more than the stated advertised 4dr height.

Yep @resharp001 is exactly correct.

Can you please supply me the part # for the 2 dr kit with the RS9000 to fit a 2012 JK series shocks kit? Thanks.

Rancho RS66118BR9 Suspension System

Installed this on my daughters '08 JK along with the Rancho steering stabilizer and the AEV geometry correction brackets. Went with MOAB stock wheels and 315's (35").

2 door with RS9000XL
RS66118BR9 The "8" is key that denotes a 2 door.

with the rancho 2dr kit i got 2.5 inch on my dr above the existing jku swap (17,58). in total im about 3.75"F/2.75"R over the stock X height (12/14,55 springs). still has a touch or rake to it. it looks pefect on 33s. i got the 5000 series shocks and they ride great, 1000x better than the jku rubicon swapped ones. i also have the rancho geo brackets and it drives straight as can be.

imo you can't beat this kit for the $.

note - if you are only running 33s you do not need the front bump stops. i scored 723 on an rti ramp disconnected with room to spare in the wheel wells on 33s.
