Default Rear Bumper

got my lift and tires on my 2013 Sahara. I am wanted to mount a 35" spare on the back. Is this possible with stock bumper? I know the bracket that holds the spare probably needs updated. Any suggestions on which way to go??/ Thanks

The tailgate is not designed to hold the weight of a 35" tire. Many people mount it on the stock spare mount anyway and I personally think that it's a viable short term fix if you really want the spare on the back. For a permanent fix that won't wreck/bend your tailgate in the long run, I would definitely recommend getting a tire carrier. The Teraflex tire carrier is sweet and the aev tire carrier can be mounted onto the bumper you already have if you're not looking to get a new bumper. Other than that, there are tons of options it there if you want to go with a rear bumper/tire carrier combo

OR-Fab makes a tire carrier that is independent of the rear bumper, there are three options; Tire Carrier 85207, Tire/Can Carrier 85208, RotoPax Carrier 85209.

With this system you can run up to a 37" tire while retaining the factory bumper. There is also a mount for a high lift jack and a CB antenna.

You can follow this link to see what the RotoPax carrier looks like-

Its just two tapped holes that you can run bolts and washers through the hilift into the tube of the tire carrier. It's built into the tire carrier.

Yes. There is one hole drilled into the exterior which is covered up by the landing block and a few others that are on the inside of the tub. You can follow this link to our website and if you scroll down towards the bottom you can take a look at the installation instructions. Jeep | JEEP | 85209
