if that is truly the case, that would be a first for me and i would imagine this may pose a problem once you have to set your pinion angle. here are shots that i just took of my 07 lower spring perches.....

as you can see, it is completely smooth around the nub and there is no index to be found. does yours really not look like this?

also, here is a shot of the rubber isolator. as you can see, it is completely uniform and there is no index to be found.

So with the caster now 1.59 on the left and 1.78 on the right shoukd I just get front lower control arms, or adjustable ball joints?

I am going ot Moab for a light off-road trip with some other JK's in my unit next week, should it be alright to do some light to medium trails or do I need to get that fixed ASAP.

Thanks

i don't get it. how could you possibly only have a little more than 1° of caster? if that is really true, your jeep should handle like crap and on the verge of DW. are you sure that's right? if it is, you need adjustable lower control arms. adjustable ball joints would never be able to give you enough caster.

That's what the place told me, according to their printout, they even recommened to get the ball joints.

I am going to go out and buy one of those angle measurement tools, haven't heard of that much loss in caster on this small of a lift.

assuming nothing else was changed other than the addition of taller coils, you should still be at about 4° even at 3" of lift or more. those numbers do not sound right to me at all. likewise, if these numbers were really correct, you would need to add about 4° to get thing to a point that is nice and i don't know of any offset ball joints that can give you that much and even if they could, it really is the wrong way to go about it. honestly, wouldn't take your jeep back to these guys as they don't seem to know what the hell they are talking about.

WoL - Thanks, good advice. I'll probably just start doing it all myself. I bought the Jeep to learn it all anyway!

Thanks all for help on the thread, we'll see how she runs!

I just did my 2007 unlimited X today my lower spring perch is just like Wayoflife's, but my upper rubber isolator is different I don't have the long rubber bumper in the middle, so what I'm going to say here Jeep must have use some different components on some models verses others. When I put mine in, I just looked at the stock springs and put them in the same postion when I installed the new springs. Mine are heavy duties too.
