I guess it depends on how your Jeep is set up. With the 37" spare mounted as high as possible and the rear seat, head rests and cargo bags in, I have pretty much zero rear view for child-height objects for probably ten feet or more behind me, including using the side mirrors. I felt it was unsafe to back up so I made a rear camera solution.

Yeah, I can see that, I’ve gotten used to no back seat and not much inside, usually when we have the grandkids with us we’re driving my brides car

Instead of a rear bumper, I'm just running a cheap frame cover from Olympic, which had a thin filigree above the company name. I wanted the camera placed low to help with backing up to the boat trailer, so just snipped the filigree out and bolted the camera right in there. Even with a 37" spare and camera angled down a bit toward the ball, I get a good rear view.

I love this man! Ive been looking for something like this for my factory backup camera and adding a rear view mirror camera. Could i pay you to print me one of these too?

I didn't print or make anything. When the rear bumper is removed, you are left with bare frame rails and empty space. Olympic 4x4 used to make a cheap, thin metal cover that bolts over the frame rails, with space for shackle mounts on each side. Stamped out of the middle of that cover was the Olympic name, and above that was a thin filigree design. All I did was cut that filigree out, leaving the square hole that you see my camera mounted in.

Not my jeep, but this is the best pic I could find of that version of the frame cover. Probably have to magnify to catch the bits I cut out, it's kind of hard to see because there is a black backing plate bolted behind the filigree (you can see the bolts above the O and C in Olympic). I just removed that plate, cut the filigree, and used those same holes to mount the camera.
Later versions did not have the company logo or the filigree, just a chunk of thin metal. From what I see, it has been discontinued as well. https://www.quadratec.com/products/12107_340X_PG.htm

Yes please! Ill pay you for the file if you're unable to print one for me. Trying to find a solution after ditching my AEV wheels. The CHSML bracket no longer clears the Fuel wheels.

Drilled and tapped two 4-40 holes in hardtop.

... but I've moved it to below the spare tire. The majority of the miles on my Wrangler are driven towing a teardrop trailer. The new location still has decent view when backing up without the trailer, but also makes it easier to hitch up without having someone spotting. Used the same drill and tap mounting method.

Interesting timing for this to pop up. I recently re-worked my license plate light/ brake light, and backup camera setup.

im using the alpine backup cam and just added some standoffs to the mount hardware. Camera is mounted to the license plate frame. Also added a rough country chase light since it has the brake light, running light, and a pretty decent backup light.
