Don't forget steering box as well.

I changed the stock suspension because as I said, the second I switched to heavier wheels and tires and put the bumper on it rode like crap and the bumps stops were also bottoming out at the axle.

I changed springs and shocks at the recommendation of an off road shop.

The dealer did replace the ball joints and steering box. As far as the track bar, their test was to grab the track bar with their hand and try to shake it. When it didn't move they told me its was fine. Of course it wasn't. The bushing were starting to go and the holes wallowed out, so I fixed it myself.

I finally got tired of my shakes and vibes with my steel procomps went back to stock tires and there is a world of difference.
I'm no pro but I don't know if stock springs and shocks will give a stock ride when you have added all that weight up front and underneath. Ome offers different coil or spring rates depending on added weight.
Someone tried to explain it to me like this first inch of the coil goes down at say 50lbs the second inch takes 100lbs to depress and the third inch takes 200lbs. These numbers were just to illustrate a relationship the loss of first cushy inch of play compared the last inch of play not so cushy. I can't say how correct the idea is but it made sense to me at the time. But I'm sure with all the heavy duty components you have added to the steering or shocks might be playing a part as well. hope you get it figured out

Mk,

in a way you might be right as I am feeling for it more now since at one point it was so bad it was almost undriveable. However I can assure you something is still off. You feel the road so much that if this was normal no one would ever take their jeep on any long trip and I remember when it was new I took it all over and actually could not believe how smooth the ride was for a jeep.

Also it something must be off because how else would you explain ball joints, trackbar bushings and a steering gear all going bad with less than 20k?

If I had a compentent offroad shop by me I'm sure it would be easier to diagnose, however I don't.

I'm sure it's just a combination of my wheels/tires/steering set up at this point but I just don't have the cash to keep experimenting.

I started having problems as soon as I switched to the procomp wheels. I have the black soft 8 style. Series 97 I think. A brand new one took almost 5 ounces of weight. I'm switching to the crager soft 8's at the end of the month.

I agree..........LOVE my "Revos" and I commute 45-90 miles everyday. I actually like how aggressive they are off road for an AT.

No.....whole different critter. They still call them the "Duelers" but the "Revo" is a totally different manufacturing design.
