Just got some in but quadratec murdered them in the shipping completely messed that one up thinking about Viking off road shackles any feedback on them?

I have not seen any negative reviews on the Viking shackles. They have the working load stamped on them but no "made in" markings. Also not sure if these are forged or cast.

If you want to invest in some quality shackles stick with Crosby or Van Beest. I know they cost more but when the time comes to put them to use you dont have to wonder if they will hold up.

Yah hopefully they're hold because the crosby ones are already chipped and haven't even gone on the jeep yet oh well hopefully Quadratec will make things right

20 yrs in the service and I recall seeing everything painted on any vehicle or truck including all the new HMMWVs, LMTVs, FMTVs and every MRAP variant out there. When new, it's all painted in CARC, (Coating; Aniti-Radar, Camouflage) but touch-ups came out of a rattle-can.

Interesting to know

Just repeating what was said on an older thread on the same subject

I have them on my front and rear bumpers, and my Jeep is red, so it's tempting to paint them red but it could look tacky...

Maybe I'll airbrush one of the spare ones out of my recovery bag

Thats a good idea, I'm going to have my hi lift jack powder coated over the winter, are you having both pieces done? Seems like it would muck up the threads
