Reinforcing tailgate hinges?
 

I recently put and xrc bumper on my jeep and unfortunately found out I cannot open my tailgate due to the weight of my 35" tire causing it to sag and drag the bumper, does anyone know a way to reinforce the hinges? Xrc doesn't just sell the tire swing unfortunately and it's a another 900$ to get it ontop of the 500 I already spent...

Have you seen the Teraflex hinged carrier? It's very strong.

Look into the extra swing away carried add on more. If you go to their site they have a link to summit for it for $220. I'm in the same situation as you with my heavy 33 and xrc rear bumper. I am going to give them a call for more info on it tomorrow.

Oh do they sell one? From their site I thought it was either the whole package or nothing

Got to the xrc portion of their site and go to where it says buy the xrc rear bumper and look at the last part number (4th one I believe) description and link.
