I have the Daystar Dash Panel and I love it! I cut a piece of the self sticking rubber that is used to keep cell phones on your dash and lined to back tray. Now the phone won't slided from side to side!

I have heard of this but people had stuff hanging from their mirror. Think it was something that could "obstruct the view". I guess depends on what it is and how big.

They go to the electronic compass module. You simply unplug the wire harness, remove the original dash panel and remove 2 screws that hold the compass module in place. The new Daystar dash panel has a place that you screw the module back onto and then you just reconnect the wire harness. it was really easy and took me like 5 minutes to do.
Appreciate the feedback; going online to order this now.

Tool box liner works great to keep stuff from sliding.

Very simple. Just pry the back up a bit and it pops up. Then you sorta slide it forward. Then just unscrewed the compass module.

I found the fit to be a little tight due to the compass module, but it looks fine. I posted on another thread if anyone else had tight fit issues. I am waiting for replies. It wasn't too bad, just wasn't as loose fitting as the OEM panel.

Oh, I do have another comment. I have an iPhone and when I lay it down in the smaller front pocket (perfect fit by the way) it totally jacks my Compass up. Basically causes it to freeze in the last direction before I put the phone there. Guess the electronics are just too close.

Just thought I would mention that in case you have an iphone and use your compass.

The Daystar unit goes on easily, but it is a tight fit when you push the new panel down . The MOPAR replacement mounting clip that the Daystar directions list is WRONG. The clip they list is almost twice the size of the original clip on the factory panel. I sent Daystar an email with photos of the original clip and the replacment they listed. Daystar replied they relied on MOPAR for the part number. Just be careful removing the factory panel so a clip does not come off and fall down inside the center panel.

I 2nd this. When I put something like my cellphone in the smaller front pocket my compass gets locked and sometimes it shuts off. Putting lighter items like sunglasses in the larger one does not affect this though.
