Default Rim width?

Looking at wheels that have either a 8.5"and 10". Obviously the 1.5". But I'm guessing it would push the tire out of the fender more?

Yes, it will push out more, because same tire is wider on a wider wheel. If you're planning to air your tires down, a narrower wheel will hold the bead better. I'd go for a narrower wheel if it was me.

Thats just a tiny bit more than my 17x8.5 3.80 backspacing rims. I want to go to a 15 inch rim because tires are so much cheaper. My nephew has a 99TJ with 16k miles on it. He just texted me saying he just got "free rims and tires" no details yet, but i asked if i could have his factory 15" rims. I would buy spacers for them.
