river raider hi-lift bracket install

ok guys this is my first write up so i hope its a good one. i have been looking for a way to mount my hi-lift and did'nt like the hood mount or the tailgate door hinge mount either so @ the all brands jeep show in york , PA i saw this @ the river raider tent installed on a vehicle and thought it was the best thing out there so here goes...
first thing is locate the factory holes on the rear of the rollbar
driver side
http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSCN0552.jpg
passenger side
http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSCN0553.jpg
now using the supplied tap and a adjustable wrench
http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSCN0555.jpg
insert the tip into the hole and turn clockwise if it gets stuck or hard to turn back off a turn then continue
http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSCN0556.jpg
repeat on the other side
http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSCN0557.jpg
now simply use the supplied 3/4" bolts and washers attach the jack mounts
http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSCN0558.jpg
http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSCN0559.jpg
http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSCN0549.jpg
liquid thread lock is recommended on the 3/4" bolts. remove the factory bolt from thehead of your lift and replace it with the supplied 2" bolt which will hold your hi-lift to the jack mount using the supplied washers and wing nut
http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSCN0560.jpg
this is the finished product.
http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSCN0569.jpg
http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/m...k/DSCN0547.jpg
..now i must tell you that there are two holes directly above the two that river raider wants you to use and this was done strictly for my set up on my jk being that i do not use the factory softop which has been replaced by my bikini, duster deck cover and the windjammer so if you go ahead and install it this way using the upper holes instead of the manufacturers setup then you do so at your own risk....

I just picked up my RR brackets this past weekend at the PA Jeep show. I'll probably install mine tomorrow. I'll take some picks and post up...that is if the jack will clear my Mopar trunk. ...it's gonna be close.

Rogue, goto your photo in photobucket and just click on where it says IMG code, it auto copies it then just edit your original post and right click and paste the code will then be there :D

p.s. maybe move this to the WRITE UP section :dontknow2:
