Default RK 2.5 max flex vs 3.5 flex

Are these kits the same except for the 1" coil differance? The plan is to run 37" mtr's on a 2012 unlimited rubicon. It will have PSC aluminum tube fenders installed to help with clearance. Whats the thoughts on going with the 3.5 flex or 2.5 max flex?

RK ran a 4-door with their 2.5 system, flat fenders and 37" at MOAB and they said it had great manners and articulation.

unless you specifically want less flexy shocks, if you are choosing between the two, why would you want the 2.5? its litterally the same parts, both are progressive springs, control arms and a track bar with brake lines. the biggest difference will come to what shocks you get. the 3+ lifts usually let you get more flex from a shock then the 2.5 (in the case of their recommended shocks its 11 inches of travel vs a foot of travel). i mean the 2.5 max is a great kit, but for the exact same price, i cant help but think most people would prefer the taller lift

X2

If you're going to run 37's I would think you would want the 3.5".

I'm probably getting the 2.5", but that's because my wheels are 33". I will probably get 35's in the future, but for now 2.5" will be right. If I do 35's, I would probably get flat fenders.

I spoke to David at Northridge 4x4 about it, and based on his advice, I got he 2.5" lift for my current 35"s with plans for latter down the road running 37"s w/flat fenders. I like it for the lower center of gravity. Just make sure you have appropriate bump stops, and you're good to go.

Thats what I was wondering as most choose the 2.5 max flex and you dont hear much about the 3.5 flex kit. Even if going to 35" tires why wouldnt the 3.5 kit be the one of choice? The way Im leaning is the 3.5 flex and then I could upgrade to the long arm later without having to change springs. I would guess the 3.5 flex rides/handles like the 2.5 only its an inch higher.

I went with the 2.5" kit since I was already fitting 35's but I wanted better flex without extreme driveline angles.

Def do the 3.5in kit if your planning for 37s. You can do the 2.5 and make it work but your going to end up with much less flex. The 3.5 is just a better fit.

Will you (and anyone else with the 2.5" kit) please post pics of yours with the 35's? Did you have to make any mods to fit 35's with this 2.5 kit?

Agreed. I much prefer a lower center of gravity.
