hey guys, im installing my bumper today and have a question. first, what are the 8 little screws for? for the life of me, i cant figure out what those go to! also, the bumper didnt come with directions, so im guessing the spacer looking things go between the frame rails and bumper. if you have installed this bumper plz help me!

No directions....WHAT THE..............

 

On the bumper itself, you have 3 that go on each framerail. One is towards the rear of the framerail and kind of a pain, but you can reach back there and get to it. There are also 2 that mount between the framrails where the factory hitch mounts. I dont know if that is what you were talking about. I can't find the cord that connects my camera to my laptop, so no pics until I find it. Hope that helps.

 

And just to clarify, you are talking about the rear bumper/tire carrier?

 

yeah im sorry actually the front. but if the rear has spacers im guessing they go on the same place.

 

Post some pics. Did you get the bumper with fog light holes? Maybe they're replacement screws to hold the fog lights in.

 

Hey I just installed this and it was very easy. First, the little screws are only for the fog light version so they can be discarded. I actually called rockhard and the guy said that they were being put in every hardware pack by mistake. He also said that they were working on getting directions out buy honestly you wont need them. The spacers go in between the bumper and the frame rails as you guessed. Other than that you just set the bumper on the rails and start turning your ratchet. I found it easier to leave the nuts at the very end of the bolts so you can more easily fit your hand behind the bumper to get to the outside bolts, then once you have all of the bolts and nuts in place just tighten up and your done. Dont forget the lock washers.
