Default Rock Hard Evap Relocation Kit

Just finished installing the Rock Hard evap canister relocation kit. Did not know they made one until I talked wtih Dave at Northridge 4x4. Nice kit, no drilling or cutting required. Took about an hour, but most of the time was trying to figure out the poor instructions. Thanks Dave.

Were you able to use the stock hoses unmodified?

Default Hoses

We tried to go that route but one of the hoses was not long enough. In the picture you can see the red 5/8'' hose that was included in the kit. So had to cut that one and extended the line with the red hose.

Hmmm...I just installed the RockHard Evap skid. Maybe I should have waited and got this instead.

So, did the kit have all of the hose that you needed??

Default evap kit

Yeah, one is a little kinked, seeing if we can get by with out messing with it. The kit came with 2 5/8" hoses about 19 inches long each. Still have the other hose if the one slightly kinked hose causes a problem.

Default void warranty?

There is a post in the "stock" section about evap's. In the discussion some say that relocating it will void the warranty?? Any thoughts?

it depends but I have read that it will.
Which is why I am going to get the skidplate instead.

There is a lot of debate on whether relocating the evap will void the warranty, I am not expert on this whole warranty thing but I would think that they could not void it based on this. The evap will not fubar your axles, engine, clutch, the cloth on your seats, or a crack in your wheels. Now if you bored out your cylinders, hooked up some NOS, and ran 54'' tires , and drove everywhere in reverse then I think Chrysler would have a case, but to just relocate the evap, I dont think so. Who knows, we dont call them stealerships for the fun of it. I relocated mine with woods kid, I dont think you could have put it in a better location. Correct me if I am wrong, with rock hard relo, you are only putting it up about 2-3 inches and putting some strain on those plastic pieces. Those lines are not very pliable, I would be scared that you could really pop off the connects easily.
