Rock Krawler 2 door specific
I purchased my second JK Monday, a 2009 Flame Red JK. It came with a 2.5" BB lift but wanting to switch it out. When I began looking for another jeep I was set on an RK 2.5" Flex for a 4 door but now that I decided on a 2 door I wanna know how much lift is netted out of the newer 2 door specific 2.5" lifts. Most the threads I've read through may have been before the door specific lifts. Thanks guys and glad to be back on the JK world.

I was curious about this too. I want to go with a RK 2.5 on my 2 dr but don't want 3.5'' of lift. At one point when the triple rate coils started showing up, their website and various vendors had 1.5 coils/kits listed for the 2 dr. Now they only show 2.5 for the 2 door. Its my understanding that 2.5 kits and coils listed now specifically for the 2 dr net closer to an actual 2.5''. I'm sure someone or RK themselves will confirm.

It took me a while (you know, like 10 seconds), but I found this:
Rock Krawler Hours of Operation: 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. E.S.T Monday thru Friday Address: 56 Hudson River Road, Waterford, NY 12188 Phone: 518-270-9822 Fax: 518-270-1885 Technical Information & Ordering: 518.270.9822 |
I got around 3 inches of lift, depending on how much additional weight you have on your rig, it can vary a little from there. I havent measured it, but its been on for a year now, and seems to be the same height.
(ignore the quick trail flag fix, sense I forgot mine ) http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...psdcul7mpf.jpg |
Just got all the information needed. Now if you order your lift DOOR SPECIFIC the correct coils will be sent instead of the same size coils for both 2 and 4 door. Got that information from Marcus at River City and Dave from Northridge4x4.

The two door 2.5's and the four-door 1.5 are the same coil.
You will net right around 2.5-3" with no weight. |
