I added a poison spyder diy slider bar to my rubicon rails without issue, they now look similar to the hard rock rubi rails before those were available. Poison spyder makes a kit for the JK but I bought one of the CJ kits and cut back the slider to match.

This provides ample step up platform?
To be clear, you did remove the rock slider rubi rails?
It's more of a slider bar than a step, but you could use it as a step towards the roof or like I do to shimmy in and around the vehicle when you're in some deep mud or hung up in the rocks. I did remove the bars when welding, but the slider bar is welded to the Rubi rail.
If you contact Shrockworks, their rock rails for the JK can be made compatible with the Rubi OEM rock rails. But you need to talk to them and request that. They are not a step, much more stout than that, but they serve as one. Might inquire with them about the finish--mine are over a decade old and slippery when wet, but newer finishes seem to be a bit less slippery. Might also check out Ace Engineering. I have them on my Gladiator and they work with the Rubi rock rails and have that newer, not so slippery finish ...
