Default Good timing...

Special thanks to dmhines for his great pics and write-up. I would have been a little lost without his help. Note that the listed parts are slightly different than those mentioned previously. I had to improvise based on what was available at the local hardware store.

Parts include:
(1) 10mm bolt, ~4" long and fully threaded
(1) Sleeve, ~1.5" long
(3) nuts
(1) small diameter washer
(2) large diameter washers
Attachment 126862

Pre-assembled (for illustration purposes only; must be disassembled before install):

As mentioned above, the 4 sway bar frame bolts must be removed before rotation (pics included in previous posts).

Rotated e-disco with disconnected wire:
Attachment 126864

Installed. Note that the new bolt assembly replaces an existing housing bolt:
Attachment 126865

With the e-disco rotated and reassembled, the wire connector mount rubs the plastic shroud below the radiator.

Thanks for the update and writeup RedJK...Perfect timing as I am ordering the Expedtion One rubi skid tomorrow and will need to do this. Do you foresee any problems with the wire connector rubbing the radiator shroud? Should that be trimmed?

That's a good question. I'm not sure if it's an issue, and was hoping others who have done this mod would be able to discuss. If it is an issue, I'm not sure why the shroud could not be trimmed.

I installed a new bumper yesterday and decided to snap some pics of the rotated e-disco while the bumper was off.

Just did this tonight. It was much faster and easier than I thought it would be!

******* Suspension Front Sway Bar Motor Relocation Kit

For 07-12 Jeep® Wrangler Rubicon & Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon JK
Quadratec Part No: 16315.6040
Manufacturer Part No: 5410-03-08

$9.99

This NEW Kit from ******* Suspension includes the necessary hardware to properly relocate the anti-sway bar disconnect motor out of harms way on you Wrangler Rubicon JK. It provides increased ground clearance as the sway bar motor becomes tucked up under the frame rails. This will allow you to run a front bumper without the lower Skid Pan for more ground clearance and better approach angle.

I think I paid a few dollars less at the hardware store, but $10 isn't too bad for a Jeep mod.

I just order the parts from Quadratech ... figured it was worth the extra couple of bucks just not have pay for the gas to drive to the store.

Installing a new bumper next week ... so, this should be a no-brainer mod while doing that.
