Rough Country
Has anyone seen or purchashed the new 3.5" Rough Country lift? Has new shocks N2.0...Havent seen any info on the website about them yet. Looks like a really good option for $500. I also like the looks of the 4" X series, comes with their new control arms and track bar "X flex joints". Pretty complete setup for $1200. Just looking for some info on these new products and if anyone has purchased. Rough Country is putting out some affordable options...
Yea, I wasn't so sure about the ones on the 3.5" lift...was more curious about the new N2.0 shocks that kit came with. What about the control arms for the 4" and 6" X series lifts...those are obviously adjustable, right?
I got Rough Country's 4" X-Flex kit on my 2010 Rubi. I'm running 35" rubber and i love it. Once installed it sat like a 5" lift, then settled down to exactly 4". When i first looked at threads on what system was best for jk's, a lot of people talked down about rough country. Ive always had this company on all my jeeps and never had problems. If properly installed and lubed, not to mention check and re-check all the work done after about 500 miles you'll be good. I haven't had squeaks, ride is a bit harder than stock but that's expected with lifts. It flexes nice and has held up on trails that my buddies and i go on, and they have "top name" brands like terra flex and Rubicon express! The X flex is completely adjustable and the shocks i have are the hp 2.2, which have a nice ride on the street (little harder than stock) and on the trail / rocks its surprisingly smooth.

Not a fan of paying for 'fixed' control arms. No caster adjustability, and wasted money when you swap out your driveshaft.
unless you intend to add more lift later, you won't need aftermarket driveshafts.
Look around some more. It is fairly common...
OP - Once the lift is installed, flex and check the clearance. If the driveshaft is anywhere even close to touching, see post 6 here for some preventative steps

I just purchased the 4"flex kit. Will be putting it on tues night after work. My rims and tires should be in for Wed. Not sure if we are going with 33's or 35's. I drive on the highway alot. I have 30 days to try the tires out at town fair tire so I guess I will start off with the 35's and see how it goes. Was this kit hard to install?
I appreciate the info about the driveshaft and the mods to prevent problems...will definitely be helpful. Anyone else have any first hand knowledge of these Rough Country products?
I run several of Rough Country products on my '07. I like the quality of their product at the lower price points. I am considering changing out my Rubicon Express 2" BB to the 3.25" Rough Country.
My RC parts:
1.5" wheel spacers
sway bar disconnects
dual steering stabilizes
Space tire spacer (removed after install of Orfab J-can/tire carrier)
