Default Rubicon Locker won't Disengage - Check your sensor seating

I recently installed a junkyard Rubicon front axle with a locker and new gears into my X. All went pretty well or so I thought. Once I had it back together, the front locker wouldn't disengage although there was no power run to it. I tried installing the new Rubicon wiring harness last week to try to engage the lock to see if it would release after having power run to it, but the jeep needs to be programmed at the dealer before the new wiring and switches will work. So I made a switch to test the locker. The I test the switch with the locker I have for the rear on the bench works perfectly. When I hooked it up to the installed front locker, I could hear it engage, but it wouldn't disengage. So, I took it apart this morning and there is a sensor that seems to be installed incorrectly. Of course, there is no documentation online that I could find at all.

Rubicon Locker Sensor - Right now, it is pushing against the outside of the locker ring keeping it engaged. It appears that the mushroom end of the sensor should probably ride on the inside of the locker ring. That makes more sense since the sensor moves out and would then pull out when the locker is engaged. Unfortunately, the only way I can see to seat it correctly is to pull the carrier out a few mm, seat the sensor correctly, then reinstall and re-torque the carrier. So, pulling the carrier is the tough part, once I get it to pulled out enough to seat the sensor, the rest should go very smoothly.
