I ran the tow tune with 87 octane for a while and never needed to turn OD off. I never heard anything about the tow tune disabling OD either

Superchips recommends that you use 91 octane when using the tow tune programming.

As far as turning off the OD, that's not necessary. I turn mine off when ascending up long hills, as it will cut down on the shifting back and forth, which will help keep your transmission cooler. Your trans will still drop down in gear since your rear-end gears are still a bit tall for the size of tires you're running.

When I had 35's, I ran it with the stock 4.10's for a while, til I was able to have 5.13's installed. Now I have 37's and wish I had 5.38's

From what I've heard, tow tune is suppose to stop it from hunting for gears kinda like OD off. Do you have the same gear and tires as I am? I feel like I'm doubling up stuff when I ran tow tune and OD off. The reason I'm asking is I tow my 2600 lbs boat/trailer and before I got my flashpaq, I just ran OD off. Now that I have my Flashpaq, I installed the tow tune and not really sure if I should do the OD off or what?...??? Damn....I'm confused.

Yes I'm running tow tune with 91 octane. So your saying is I ran tow tune, there's no need for OD off only when climbing hills? How about towing trailer? Is it ok to tow my boat with tow tune and OD off? I don't want to break stuff...
