Running Tow tune....do i still have to turn OD off?
I got 2010 Rubi Unl with 4:10s and 315/70/17 (35s) I think tow tune is best but wonder if I still need to turn off OD.? I thought tow tune automatically turn off OD? Thanks
Superchips recommends that you use 91 octane when using the tow tune programming.
As far as turning off the OD, that's not necessary. I turn mine off when ascending up long hills, as it will cut down on the shifting back and forth, which will help keep your transmission cooler. Your trans will still drop down in gear since your rear-end gears are still a bit tall for the size of tires you're running.
When I had 35's, I ran it with the stock 4.10's for a while, til I was able to have 5.13's installed. Now I have 37's and wish I had 5.38's
