Running without inner-fenders?
Is there any risk or danger in running without inner fenders?

Ive been doing it for a couple years.. no problems... keeps the engine cooler... might be a hassle in the winter if you have alote of road salt.. but i haven't had any issues..

You will get all kinds of debris on you engine including getting your electrical system wet. Not what I would call a good idea.

I lost my rear drivers side and actually like the look better without it! I havent pulled the other one off yet, but I like the contrast between the paint and inner fender! Pull out the plastic clips and give it a look. Be careful taking them out, they are a PITA!!

No problems. 1 Easier to clean out with a rinse 2. Doesnt trap mud, dirt, water inside like the fenders do. 3. Easier to work on without them

I would keep them on.

I took the rear fenders out, but trimmed the front ones to protect the engine, works great for me:thumbsup:

I read a post on this forum from someone who did a fender chop and found mud/grime behind the stock front inner fenders. I live in a place where it snows in the winter and the roads are salty. I don't like the idea of that crap living behind my inner fenders and trying to rust out the metal parts in there. I'll be chopping my fenders soon, and I'm seriously thinking I'll leave them out.
