Default shifter and 4wd knob removal??

i dont know if anyone has done this yet, but im looking to remove my bezel and need to take off the shifter knob and also the 4wd knob. im painting mine red but im taking off the whole piece from the glove compartment down to the bezel ring. the whole piece as 1 unit. thanks, ill post pics after

I havent done it yet, but I'm going to do it this afternoon becasue the plasic on top is cracked and makes noise while I'm driving and it drives me crazy. I'm hoping that a Hurst shifter will work on it.

you gotta pull up on them realllllly hard, eventually they will pop off

my shifter knob went off easy

the tcase knob was a bear to remove, i had to use a hammer, and i destroyed it,

but its no concern for me since i replaced them with lite grip handles

4wd shifter is damn near impossible to remove. I used a bearing puller on it and it still took a lot of effort on my part. I recommend thinking about what your going to be hitting with your head and arms when it lets loose.....
