Default Shock question

Can someone explain the difference between these two shocks

The first says 3.5"-5" long arm and the second one is for 4" short arm but they both have the same extended and compressed length. Just a little confused what would be different I dont want to order the wrong ones so figured I would ask here first.

Heres what I have 3.5 RK coils, front and rear JKS track bars, Front lower RK control arms, Rear upper RK control arms, front and rear coast 1310's, Northridge front and rear adj. swaybar links, and Crown extended brake lines. I was thought I might want to add some 3/4" spacers to the front if it still has the factory rake after the lift or have the option of going bigger later if I wanted so I would rather get the ones made for long arm but want to make sure they will work with what I have already ordered.

I would guess that they are tuned different... different sizes of orfices which determines the dampening of movement. Now having said that I don't know your real question of which one you need to buy for your setup.
