Santa (me) bought himself some nice new mud tires for Christmas.

On December 18th, my TJ died after 10 years / 190,000 miles. Two days later, I was the proud owner of a 2015 JK, with only 7500 miles on it! Thanks, Santa!

I'm gonna have to have a talk with Santa. I thought I was happy with getting a set of tube doors, but Santa be delivering entire Jeeps to others. I'm feeling ripped off, and jelly.

Here's what Mrs. Claus brought me. Apparently the HD Dana 44 axles with Detroit Truetracs and 4.88 gears wouldn't fit into the sleigh but I'm still happy. :D

I got a visit from the Grinch instead. Hella windy day in DFW...opened driver's door, wind grabbed it and flew it open with extreme force which totally snapped the check strap (which was worn from 5.5 years of use), slamming the door up against the front quarter. Ugh. Glad I don't have fenders, and I've already got the typical dimples covered strategically with a rugged flag decal.

Ended up buying some new check straps that zipper on over the wire loom....like the ones on Quadratec, but bought on eBay for $10 cheaper. They appear decent quality.
