There should be stickers in the kit for the shocks. I have a a skyjacker on mine and a rusty's off road on my wifes and both came with decals for the shocks

Yeah they actually dont come with the decal applied already, so I guess the shop just left them off. I also heard skyjacker is switching over to black so I think you did get the right shocks. Do they say made in mexico?

I just got a Skyjacker steering stabilizer and I had to put the sticker on. It also came with black bushings.

Most of these white twin-tube shocks are manufactured by one or two shock companies and then are rebranded by the suspension companies when they include them in their kits. Rebranding = putting the sticker on. In other words these white shocks are pretty much the same between suspension companies.

Explorer is the shock used by Pro Comp and several others. They are decent shocks for the price.

Also, the red boot and red suspension look is getting kinda outdated. Used to be hot in the late 70´s (rancho look). But black and silver are back in style.... perhaps skyjacker is heading in that direction.

do you have to take the shocks off to change the boot color or is there a secret shortcut?
