Recently based my tailpipe into a rock. I noticed a decrease in performance, but an improvement in MPG's. Before the smashed pipe, I was averaging 13.5 MPG's. Now, I'm between 15.5-16.3 MPG's.
I guessing it has to do with the back pressure? Will keeping my tailpipe this way harm my engine?

he tailpipe is creating a much hotter combustion chamber the improvemnt in mileage is a result of less out equals less in to the detriment of performance you could also
damage valves or pistons because of excess heT get it fixed
