OK here's the latest update from Smittybilt as of Friday the 27th of July. They said the manufacturer just finished the welding jigs, and production is about to begin. That has been the holdup all this time. Expect it to be sometime within the next 30 days for them to start shipping bumpers. I won't hold my breath, but that sounds promising.

Cool This is the one for me

I love this bumper. Saw it for the first time in a 4WD add in 4WheelDrive and Sport Utility Magazine a few months back. Gotta start saving I guess. I'll be eager to hear how people are liking it once it does start getting around.

I really like the rear bumper. Check out smittybilts site now. They've updated a bit recently which is promising.

Me too. The other bumpers out there suck and want to rip us cuz they have the market. i like the look of tube and with the adition of tube sliders....! Then a tube light bar...! I personally think the JK has a more round theme and will look great. I just cant wait....

Went and looked at new website. Go to the new products tab. Bumpers look great but the rear bumper description states how it holds oversized tires but the picture shows a tire mounted to the stock tailgate door. No reatr tire carrier connected to bumber? Am I missing something?

Yes you are missing something. Both of the SRC series bumper show tire carriers. Of course the JK versions will look a bit different but you can get an idea from these pics:

This is the picture from smittybilt website for the bumper on the JK. Nice looking bumper but no tire rack in picture

I believe that is another version of rear bumper if you dont want tire mount. The pick above is the other style. I cant wait to get these, does anyone know when they will hit the market for sure?
