Default Snorkel Disconnect

As anyone seen or perhaps fabricated a snorkel disconnect? Seems that you could maintain fuel economy if you were able to keep the airflow less restricted while driving on the pavement. It would require some kind of gasket in order to maintain the water tight seal when connected. Anyone have any ideas?

There's one. I just can't remember the brand. They sell a snorkel AND a CAI system that you connect together when on the trail to use the snorkel, or disconnect on pavement for CAI.
If I remember the name i'll come back.

Sounds like you're talking about the Volant CAI and slug-looking snorkel. It's a good design, just doesn't look too good...

Nope... Found it.
It's made by RIPP. It's a kit for their CAI and "all" snorkels. I'm on my iPhone and all i could find now was this pic w w w.rippmods.com/v/vspfiles/photos/0711JKCAI-SNRK-3.jpg
