Default someone with borla catback....question.

is it supposed to look like a cheap turd? got mine from a guy on ebay and i asked beforehand if it was authentic. it is he said. but this exhaust looks like crap. for $500 i expected a lot more. then to see that the tip isn't even welded on? wtf. have to use some cheesy clamps to put it togther with. i don't know it looks like its authentic but i was just expecting more. i had a greddy exhaust on my SI and it looked/sounded great. i wanna wait to make sure this is the real deal before i install it.

ya i know.... i don't even like "bling". it does say borla on it. i expected clean/smooth stainless piping. not something old and recycled looking. my greddy piping was smooth with like a grey coat coating on it. and for that price i was also expecting some nicely done tig welding. the welds look like crap. guess it costs so much because they throw in a hat and black and white instructions that you can barely see. just not impressed with it right out of the box. i guess i should wait till i put it on and see if it sounds decent.

Supposedly, the tip is removable for off-roading. (Thats what they say)
