Look in the Sponsor Vendor section, AEV has a new programmer out that is only $135 shipped from Northridge. It looks promising, I just ordered one hopefully it gets here in two weeks.

Default decisions, decisions

If any of you guys had your speedo calibrated by the dealer what did they charge you? I'm trying to decide if I want the dealer to calibrate or if I should buy a computer. I put Rubicon wheels on my X and the speedo is not correct any longer. Also, I'm not looking at larger tires any time in the near future and I drive a stick so the shift points don't matter to me. What do you think?

My dealer wanted $145 to recal...so when I found the AEV unit http://www.aev-conversions.com/products/procal_module/. I was very very happy.

I took mine into my dealer to have it done and after they tried they stated they couldn't change it for 35s. The only thing they could do is change it for optional tire sizes available from Chrysler. Then they told me that my Rubicon was programmed for factory 16" wheels and I lost all faith.

My dealer wanted more than that! They finally did it for free when my TCM was warranty FUBAR, but with my next upgrade, it's cheaper to buy my own computer thingey...

Get the AEV ProCal. For the price of the AEV unit you'll be paying for that at the dealer, for ONE flash. $135 and call it a day. Plus, all the extra features AEV gives you.
