Spray Painting Rims
I finally finished spray painting my rims and couldn't be more happy with how they turned out! I've been driving on them for about two weeks and have even done a bit of light off-roading and they are still holding up perfectly. Any way i decided to leave the silver lip and I think it looks great even though it made it a little more difficult. Here a few pictures from the process. I recommend this to anyone looking to change up the look of their JK on a budget and hope this helps!
Here are my dirty 17 inch rubi rims before.

First I removed the center cap and cleaned the wheel front a back with Simple Green, a tooth brush, and a lot of paper towels. Next i took some sand paper and scuffed up all the areas that were going to be painted. Then i cleaned all the sanded areas with rubbing alcohol.

After that i began taping off all the areas that i didn't want painted with regular painters tape. I made a cardboard template of the curve of the rim to make sure the rim stayed the same size all the way around. Don't forget to tape around the air valve and where the center cap goes.

A quarter (or in my case 100 WON coin since I'm currently living in South Korea) fits perfectly in the lug holes.

Now apply 2-3 coats of Primer. I used Rustoleum Automotive Primer.

Next apply your Black paint. I went with Krylon Flat Black and used almost a whole can on each wheel.

Once the paint is completely dry remove the tape and quarters and reinsert the center cap.

Thanks for all the comments! Now the real question, what kind of tires should I wrap around them? I've been considering trying out some BFG Rugged Terrain in a 285/70R17.. I'm lifted 2 inches now..
