Default Squeaking noise

Have a 07 jku with the 3.5 rubicon express lift on 35. It's my daily driver, but I noticed a squeaking noise coming from the rear on bumpy roads. Is that coming from my rear drive shaft. It's only in the rear and it drives me crazy can't seem to find where it's coming from.

Engine speed or just going over bumps ?
Check you brakes and runout of the rear flanges.

So, this is a really old post and I don't know if Travdd will see it, but I had to respond because I have what sounds like the same problem. Does the squeaking noise sound like a styrofoam cooler when you take the lid on and off (kind of makes you cringe like finger nails on a chalk board)? I have such a sound coming from my right rear wheel area and I swear if it haven't sprayed every joint or connection I could find with silicon, to no avail.

Strangely, the sound occurs when everything is dry. When the area gets wet from rain or after being washed it goes away. It also occurs on low amplitude bumps or imperfections in the road, not on big bumps or when crawling over rocks.

I once took off the tire to get a better view of potential joints to lubricate and noticed that the squeak was repeatable when I turned the lug nuts or moved the wheel drum up and down. So maybe it is along the axel somewhere???

Anyway, I know it's a Jeep so generally I'm not concerned about rattles and squeaks, but this one happens to hit just the right frequency that it sends chills down my spine. Would love to get rid of it.

Any thoughts?

I had a problem like this and it took me forever to figure it out. Thought it was a bad shock, turned out to be the brake line on the passenger rear side rubbing on the shock. Go figure.

My 07 had the same thing. Turned out one side of the stock muffler heat shield was laying on the muffler.
