I have the same thing happening to me when I make a turn. I am pretty sure it is the steering box. Wouldn't surprise me the bearings are shot. I've noticed that when wheeling I loose a lot of powersteering fluid, but not while I am offroading. My "pop" happenings mostly when I turn left.

 

I hope its not the box Ill have to get some help when I get home and take a look at things while someone steers for me.
