Default Steering Pop

So... Today I noticed a noise during a slight turn. When I got home, I could repeat the noise by turning the steering wheel back and forth. It doesn't happen at full turn, but somewhere in the middle. I got under the jeep and let the wife turn the wheel, but I can't audibly isolate the sound. It kinda sounds like it's coming from the stabilizer. Is this possible? Or should I look for a more likely culprit?

I get something similar right as it crosses over pointing straight ahead. On mine it's more felt in the steering wheel than heard. I've never managed to track it down, but it hasn't gotten any worse since I first noticed it about 20,000 miles ago.

Its the steering shaft. Do a search on how to fix it. Many of us suffer from clunky steering.

had a similar issue......my problem in particular was that I had a sway bar bolt come loose. Sounds dumb...but, once I tightened it up my issue was solved.

I'll have to check my sway bar then. For that matter, it's probably time again for me to check torque on my entire front suspension.

As for the steering shaft, isn't the fix for that injecting grease into the rubber boot over the splines? If so, that didn't work for me.
