He got them off ebay and, in turn, I got the idea from him. I did this as well. I got mine off ebay also for $30 for the pair. They are Carr II hoop steps. I think mine were made for a Toyota FJ or 4runner or something. Had to drill a hole in each mounting bracket and now they use the same mounting holes as my rock sliders. I think you could buy nutclips in the rectangular cutouts under the pinch seam to mount these. That's what mine essentially use. They work great around town for the wife and kids. They easily unbolt for when I go wheeling. I'll try to post pics of mine tonight as well.

took a look on the Carr website - it looks like they are now making a version for the JK, but it's $130.

I like the $30 solution better - wonder if they are still available on ebay...

There are several models available on ebay including the one for the FJ/4Runner which happen to be same model for the Jeep Liberty but they are $90 a pair. they also have the ones for the TJ.

It's hard to telll from the pics the differences in mounting brackets.

The JK ones are not listed.
