Default Stirrup Step

Has anyone used the Aspen Stirrup Step? How do you like it? Advantages/Disadvantages?

I made my own, it works great for the little lady. My suggestion is to make your own. Super cheap, instead of paying $40, $49 with shipping you could make one for around $10-$15.

Disadvantage is that it gets old really quick, pulling it out, attaching it, storing it everytime. My wife just uses the grab handle and pulls herself in. If your wearing wider shoes/boots its not wide enough and it will stick to your foot.

Bought one for my wife this week - she's five-foot-nothing. Her truck is a Mazda B4000/Ford Ranger, my rig is a a JK unlimited.

It does not attach to her truck at all; I will try to rig something up with a rope around the seat frame that the stirrup attaches to for testing before I send it back.

We just tried it on the Jeep (has factory plastic steps that we LOVE) and it attached alright... just broke the Jeep when she stepped on it. The door sill is now pinched and the paint is cracked. (Damned non-trail damage! - can't even make up a good story for coffee night tomorrow )

So far the product is total FAIL. of two vehicles we 'wheel the product doesn't fit one, breaks the other.

FAIL

That sucks about the pinch. I made my strap adjustable and attached the hook to the seat bracket and it works great.
