Most people run 25-35. I run 35 for gas mileage.

The chalk test will help tell you both...under inflated or over inflated.

I an currently running 36 psi until I can do the chalk test myself. To much snow on the ground at the moment.

I run 35 psi in my 35's. My tires are load range E. Works for me, no bulge, no problem, decent ride.

Good luck.

Is it okay if chalk disappears completely edge to edge without the .25-.5" on the sides? Is it okay to reduce a few pounds below that point? If so, how many? I want the softest ride possible while maintaining even wear and safety, I don't care about cornering. Make sense?

are you ok?

there's no right answer for your question and he's trying to give you the most educated and well rounded response. you asked whats detrimental to the life of the tire, he gave you the EXACT answer you wanted which was the chalk test, because the chalk test spreads the load equally across the whole face of the thread if done right.

if you dont like good advice from the people on this forum them please leave. you're not hurting anyone by leaving

I think I'm with this guy. A few others here seem to be pretty anal. I sure as hell didn't ask about the NHTSA, what my "handbook" says, load capacity or any of that other dumb sht
