I''m wondering what options BD offers that SC does not and vise versa.

Default ??? Warranty ??

I was set on going SC and now that i have read every post on this thread over the last day I am really stuck between a rock and a hard place...

My question and its one that has been brought up and has not really been answered and maybe someone on here can help me out with this is the following...

WARRANTY WORK - So you bring your truck in to the dealer for whatever reason and you have your BD hooked up with the wires all nicely hidden and out of site do you have to remove the entire unit and reset your vehicle back to stock?
This sounds like it would be a pain in the *** .

When it comes to the SC you could just plug it in reset and drive in to the dealer and be worry free or not?

The other question I have is would I be better off with the SC or the BD if i were planning on getting an exhaust system and cold air intake with the purchase of one of these units and innstalling all three the same day...?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated since now im more confused then ever.

For warranty (or any other dealer work) I believe it does not matter which programmer you are using. You always have to set the Jeep back to stock because it the dealer writes over the non-stock software the programmer will not "recognize" the Jeep anymore. And the tuner manufacturers will charge you a fee to unlock it.
That's my understanding.

Answering the question above, I believe the SC and BD can do the same things. What sets the BD apart is the real time display, which I thinks was what sol almost everyone on this thread on BD. ;-)

I know the Bullydog can adjust for tire sizes, but does it do gear ratios also?

I have read complaints about the new BD update. So which tuner is better now and where is the best place to purchase it???

I purchased a SC yesterday. Should get it soon. As I understand the differences, I chose SC because of more power and history with gas engines. BD seems to be a Diesel company that's trying to get into the gas engine market, and is doing well but doesn't have the background I would like. I also understand from the post above that I can have real time monitoring of 4 items on my SC, I'll just have to come up with some sort of mount that will work for it. I.E. a GPS or cell phone mount that it will fit in. It won't look as nice as the BD but will suit my needs.
I don't think either one is a bad choice though.

one of my Sgt's has a bullydog on his 03 cummins and loves it.. never had a issue.. had the truck and tuner since 2003.

For $300, the bullydog looks REAL nice.
